The Three Weird Girls are a trio of cat girls who have pursued Mike since Roseville Middle School as his self-appointed fan club. One of them only asks questions, one only exclaims, and one flirts and trails off. They have never been given individual names, and they get by perfectly well on punctuation alone.
Personality
The girls travel as a pack of three, sigh over Mike in unison, and often cannot agree among themselves, least of all which of them he belongs to. Each has exactly one way of talking. The girl on the left asks questions, the one in the middle exclaims, and the one on the right flirts and lets her sentences trail away. Even when they have nothing in particular to say, their speech bubbles hold a question mark, an exclamation mark and an ellipsis.[1][2][3]
Facts rarely slow them down. In swim class during Under Pressure, the flirt admits that Mike is “taken,” and the middle girl counters that she heard he has “TWO girlfriends.” The questioner decides a little fun couldn’t hurt, and none of them backs off.[2] They squabble about more than Mike. When Sue boots David out of her club in Out of the Frame, the three of them argue his merits back and forth until Sue, sweating, asks whether they always do this.[4]
Appearance
Since none of them has a name, readers tell the three apart by where they stand. The questioner is on the left, the exclaimer in the middle, and the flirt on the right, which is how Veronica’s commentary lays them out.[2] In their debut in Prom Preparation they wear helmets, a one-off gag rather than a standing look.[5]
Significant events
The girls first turn up in Prom Preparation, right after Mike has turned down Sue, Amaya and Daisy, to announce that he was obviously waiting for them. Mike wants to know what’s with the helmets, and Yashy’s response is to dive-bomb one of them with an uppercut, to no effect whatsoever.[5] They resurface in Puppy Love during the dance-invitation scramble, where their arrival alone is enough to send Mike running.[1]
At high school they admire Mike from the side of the pool in Under Pressure; Mike swims over to Daisy instead, leaving the trio staring after her in dismay.[2] In Out of the Frame they become founding members of Sue’s Neglected Club for background characters, argue about David’s expulsion, and two of them march in Katie and Stacy’s angry mob before Sue abandons the whole enterprise for Lucy’s table.[4][6][7] By Table for One they are chattering behind Mike’s desk in class.[3]

Mike
Mike has spent years dodging the girls’ attempts to win him over. Their debut in Prom Preparation has the three of them asking him out in turn while he manages a “Guh..”. He wonders aloud why anyone finds him “so.. likable.”[5] By Puppy Love, the mere sight of them makes him throw up his hands with a “NOPE!” and bolt. The questioner still offers to “convert” him once Paulo jokes that he plays for the other team.[1] In Under Pressure they admire him from the side of the pool, but he swims over to Daisy without acknowledging them and leaves the three staring after her in dismay.[2] Years later, in Table for One, they are still talking behind his desk while he stares ahead, bored.[3]

Sue
Sue has the trio’s most substantial connection to anyone besides Mike, but she burns through that goodwill when she abandons their club. She happily walks with one of them after lunch in Under Pressure, to Amaya’s visible jealousy,[8] and she recruits all three into her Neglected Club in Out of the Frame, where they promptly start bickering in front of her.[4] Once Lucy’s table has room for her, Sue bails with a “SO LONG SUCKERS!!” and the girls sum up the betrayal in their usual three parts, the flirt closing with “Wow, she’s mean..”[7]

- Veronica says the trio was taken from the pre-BCB comics she used to draw, and calls their question/exclamation/ellipsis rule a “VERY SILLY MEME” that wore her out while drawing their swim-class page.[2]
- In the redrawn Out of the Frame, they and other official minor characters replaced the DeviantArt fan-characters of the original version, and Veronica was glad of another chance to use them.[4]
- The noncanon Ships Ahoy, Season One pairs them with Mike in “Ships Ahoy! #5”, where all three compete to kiss him and he ends up thoroughly flustered.[9]
