Daisy’s house is Daisy’s family home, an elegant white house on a quiet suburban street in Roseville. She lives there with her mom and her dad Teddy, and her bedroom is by far the busiest room in the place: it has hosted tutoring sessions, a sleepover, a study party, and most of her love life.
Exterior
The house stands on a residential street of similar peaked-roof homes,[1] within walking distance of Paulo’s house.[2] A concrete path crosses the lawn to a colonnaded front porch, where a pair of glass lantern lights hang on either side of a dark wood front door.[3][4] A large multi-pane front window with dark shutters looks out over the yard, its sill lined with knick-knacks.[5] The full exterior first appears in Pillow Talk, with the door dressed for the season in a green wreath and red bow.[3]
Rooms

Daisy’s bedroom carries nearly every scene set at the house. The bed shares the room with a desk and chair,[7] plus a beanbag against the far wall.[8] A wooden dresser holds a brown teddy bear, a red alarm clock, and a framed photo of Daisy and Paulo as little kids.[9][10] A large fringed rug fills the middle of the floor, and between rug, bed, and beanbag the room seats nine teenagers at once for the study party of Study Buddy.[8]
The comic has shown little of the rest of the house. The living room has appeared exactly once, with a tan couch, a dark coffee table, and a tall potted houseplant.[11] Daisy’s mom leads Paulo through the entryway and down a hallway to reach the bedroom in Tickets Please, and that is about all we get of the floor plan.[12]
History

In its earliest appearances the house is a place to study. A caption introduces it in Midterm Time, where Daisy drills Tess through subject after subject, ruler in hand.[7] In New Beginnings, she tells Lucy from her bed about taking Abbey to his therapy appointments, and Lucy’s parting shot, “He’s a good kid. Don’t use him.”, leaves her wounded.[14][15]
Lucy’s birthday sleepover in Pillow Talk is the biggest thing ever to happen at the house. Jessica and Rachel arrive to discover Tess on the guest list, and Jessica has Daisy in tears before she is through the door.[16] Jasmine turns up on the porch sobbing over Paulo,[9] and before the night is out Lucy is attacking Jessica.[17] During the sleepover, Jessica tells the whole room about Craig assaulting her,[18] and about the slut-shaming campaign Tess ran afterwards.[19] After lights-out, Daisy quietly tells Lucy that Augustus, the boy who assaulted her on carnival night, might be “more than just that”.[20]
The bedroom stays busy all through Daisy’s relationship with Abbey. She calls him from her bed in At Loose Ends to invite him to Tess’s Christmas party, and comes away crestfallen when he begs off.[21] The midterm study party of Study Buddy packs eight increasingly miserable friends into the room under Daisy’s forced cheer.[8] In Safe Boundaries, Daisy and Abbey sit staring at a box of condoms on the rug, both thoroughly embarrassed. She finally admits she is “too young for this stuff anyway”, and Abbey pulls her into a hug.[22]
After Abbey dumps her, Daisy sits sobbing into her ice cream on the living-room couch in Take Heart.[11] Paulo kneels beside her, and the two of them strike their pact that at least one of them should end up happy.[23] After the convention in Guest of Honor, Daisy hands Paulo her Power Saber at her doorway while her mom offers him a ride home.[2] The long phone fight of Golden Hour plays out from her bed, teddy bear staring back at her, as she takes Paulo apart over the way he treats Abbey: “Abbey is NOT LIKE YOU!”[24][25]
Once the romance finally starts, it keeps circling back to the front of the house. Paulo rings the doorbell in Featured Attraction and finds Daisy dressed up for what she thought was a date, until David pops into view and mortification erupts all over the porch.[4] Their first real date in Made Fresh starts with Daisy pressed against the front window, watching for his car.[5] It finishes with the two of them parked at her curb while she demands, “Are you gonna kiss me or not?!”[26] In Tickets Please, her mom lets Paulo in to visit a sick Daisy, and he puts her back to bed with tickets to the movie premiere.[12] Daisy blurts out that she loves him mid-coughing fit, and he gets the couple’s first kiss on the lips for his trouble.[27]
Trivia

- A brown teddy bear turns up on Daisy’s dresser or bed in nearly every bedroom scene, right up to the sick-visit of Tickets Please.[9][27] It is not the plush bear Mike won her at the carnival in Love My Way.[29] Asked whether the two were the same, Veronica answered “oh goodness that would be really good wouldn’t it”, adding that Daisy’s bear “certainly looks to be the size”.[30]
