Another Perspective is a noncanon Bittersweet Club International-exclusive comic that replays the miserable snowy night of Eternal Flame with one change. This time it’s Daisy, not Lucy, who finds Mike crying under the park tree after Sandy breaks his heart.
Partial synopsis
The comic opens on the snowy night from Eternal Flame. Mike trudges up the hill alone through the falling snow, crying, toward the big bare tree in Roseville Park.[1] This time, he runs into Daisy standing beside it in a coat, scarf, and boots.[2]
Mike wipes his eyes and insists he is fine. Daisy responds with “You’re crying!” and marches over to clap a hand over his mouth before he can offer another excuse.[3] She tells him to stop shutting her out. Tonight, he will tell her what he feels and she will listen.[4]
Daisy came up that hill to sort out Mike’s evening, and she isn’t going anywhere until she has. Some of what he has to say, though, is going to hit a lot closer to home for her than he could ever guess...
Character dynamics

- Mike and Daisy: Daisy says Mike has lately been “SO mean and SO moody” and has kept shutting her out. At the tree, she cuts off his denial and insists that he tell her how he feels.[4] Daisy has her own history with Sandy. She once thought of Sandy as her best friend and blamed Mike for taking Sandy from her.[5] Later, she admitted how much it hurt that Sandy never contacted her after moving away.[6] In the main comic, the friend under the tree that night is Lucy.[7]
Trivia & observations
- Daisy previously said “Don’t lie to me, Mikie!” to Abbey when he tried to deflect her.[4][8]
- Mike’s stammered “Buh-because she’s been cheating on me..” is the same confession he gives Lucy at this point in the canon night, where it comes out without the stammer.[9][10]
